The sound of the harmonic minor has a nice flavor to it and is easy to recognize as it’s been used in countless melodies in Classical, Jazz, Gypsy, Oriental, Lounge and Tango music.
If you know basic major patterns on a standard harmonica you can easily reuse most of it and get new minor sounds without having to learn new patterns and complex theory.
